Greater Manchester,
kept in season.

A slow personal project — walks, gardens, weather — photographed across the year and the BL postcodes. New work added every month; older work pulled out as the season comes round.

II · The work

The slow,
seasonal half
of the practice.

Between weddings and match days, I spend an hour or two at first light walking the moors and the gardens around Bolton. The work is unbriefed, unsigned-off and quiet. Most of it never leaves the drive; the pictures here are the ones that asked to be printed.

Locations are kept loose on purpose — half of these places ask not to be tagged. The captions name the moor, the hill or the lane; the postcode stays unspoken.

IV · Prints

Available as limited prints.

Every image in the gallery is available as an open or limited edition print, signed on the reverse. Printed on Hahnemühle Photo Rag by a working photographic lab in Manchester. Mounted, mailed, or collected from the Bolton studio.

Editioned prints are limited to twenty-five per image; once the run is sold, that frame retires from the print catalogue. Open prints stay in print as long as the lab does.

V · How this works

About this body of work.

Three things to know before you ask about a print, a commission, or a walk together.

A

Personal work, freely shared.

Nothing here is sponsored, commissioned or briefed. The whole project lives outside the wedding and sports calendar, and it stays that way on purpose.

B

Commissions taken sparingly.

A handful of commissions each year — a garden, a stretch of coast, a private estate. Always the same approach: walk it first, photograph it later, edit slowly.

C

Prints printed slowly.

Each print is colour-checked against the master file in the studio, then run by a single technician in Manchester. Expect two to three weeks for mailing, longer for mounting and framing.

VI · Across the practice

Six ways the practice works.

Wedding and sports take the bulk of the calendar. The four supporting services share the same eye, on a smaller cadence.

VII · Enquire

Ask about a print, or a walk.

Tell me which frame caught you, or the kind of place a commission would cover. I reply within two working days, and prints leave the lab within two weeks of confirmation.
